A school in England has entered into student exchange programme with Don Bosco School Park Circus.
Germany has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the school as one of its four partner schools in Kolkata for the promotion of German language and culture among the students.
“From last year, we have a partnership programme with Don Bosco School Chertsey, London,” says Don Bosco Kolkata principal Fr Siby Vadakel sdb in his report addressing the guardians gathered for the annual Rectors and Parents day, 31 October.
“According to this programme two students along a teacher from London were with us in Kolkata for one week in January 2009,” the principal said explaining the possibilities of students from Don Bosco Kolkata interacting with Chertsey students in the U.K.
Another group of seven UK students will visit Kolkata February next year.
The school has signed a MOU with the Maxmuller Bhavan for greater collaboration with them and the teaching of German language which starts in November 2009. It will also allow student exchange programme with schools of the Federal Republic of Germany offering excellent opportunities for higher studies in German State Universities.
