Junior Sports Day, 2015

The 50th Annual Sports Day on the 200th birth anniversary of Don Bosco was celebrated on 12th December, 2015. Our Chief Guest Mr. Gurbux Singh (Captain of the Indian Hockey Team that won the Olympic Gold medal in 1966) declared the Sports Day open. The babies of KG, I and II welcomed the parents and other dignitaries with their drill display of ‘suswagatam’. The four houses – Yellow (Francis), Green (Rua), Blue (Bosco) and Red (Savio) proudly marched in with their house flags. The colourful drill displays of classes III, IV and V were a result of the work of many months and much appreciated. The participants ran, jumped, hopped, pulled and passed the baton. Their friends encouraged and cheered them on. The day ended with the declaration of winners and distribution of prizes. The children at DBPC realize “United we stand and united we compete.” In Don Bosco’s own words “Run, jump, shout – but do not sin.”
