CHORAL RECITATION COMPETITION
ORGANISED BY THE GREEN MOVEMENT
"Poetry is when an emotion has found its thought and the thought has found words.Poetry is the rhythmical creation of beauty in words.Poetry comes alive to me, through recitation.”
Choral Recitation stresses on the importance of, an entire class or group of students, reciting aloud and in unison. It helps in building a student’s fluency, self-confidence, and motivation. It provides a model for fluent reading, as students, listen. We, the members of the Green Movement feel extremely privileged to have conducted this Annual Choral Recitation Competition, for classes 6-8, as it always provides a platform for our young minds, to showcase their talents, through recitation.
The event began with Rev. Fr. Rector giving us his inspiring message, highlighting the importance of recitation, in the life, of a student. The master of ceremonies then introduced our judges, Mrs.Mukherjee, Mr.D’Cruze and Mr.Azavedo and thanked them for taking out time from their busy schedule to be present there that afternoon.
All the classes did a commendable job which indeed proved that sheer hard work and determination are the key factors for the success of any individual or group. With regards to this, the efforts put in by the teachers who trained the students and the students themselves need to be applauded. After the performances our esteemed judges shared their encouraging thoughts with the students. The President of our Group, then delivered the vote of thanks, expressing our gratitude to all those people who contributed in making this event a success, with a special reference to the Salesian Fathers, who are indeed our greatest support. At the concluding part, of this event, Rev.Fr. Principal announced the much awaited results, much to the delight of the students.
Hence, after the conclusion of this successful event, we can say that the best teamwork comes from people who are working independently, towards one goal, in unison.
